Vintage Chairlift Fundraiser
The Plumas Ski Club is offering a chance to own a piece of ski history. A limited number of YAN ski chairs are available which originally carried skiers up the storied slopes of Squaw Valley Resort (now renamed Palisades Tahoe). Thousands of skiers rode these chairs to the fabulous ski runs which hosted the Winter Olympics in 1960. There are a few design options and styles to choose from when donating.
All chairs come with a custom brass plaque which describes the origin and history of these unique Chair Lifts. Your donation to the Plumas Ski Club fundraiser contributes to the ongoing improvements made to the beautiful Johnsville Historic Ski Hill.

OPTION 1: Original unmodified “As Is” Chairs.
The chairs are painted black and show their age, but are in remarkable condition. For a generous donation of $650, you will receive a vintage chair complete with the full yoke assembly which attached the chair to the steel cable above. You can choose to leave the chair “as is” or modify it to a design of your choice. We can show you a few designs and connect you with local venders to modify and powder coat the chairs.

With our goal in keeping the look of the lift chair, our design team turned the original chair to a usable and tasteful indoor or outdoor bench seat, or swing. Both with removable doug fir seats and a custom brass plaque. All chairs are sand blasted and powder coated. We have a few color options and styles to choose from! Contact us with questions if you are interested in providing a generous donation to our target fundraiser to own one of these beauties. Prices will vary by design.
