Award party festivities and St. Patties day dancin' until 5:30!
Racers.. leather boots only. Authentic "dope" wax only! No spittin' or cheatin! Judging by the Ancient & Honorable Order of E.C.V. Las Plumas Del Oro. "Dope" wax & limited loaner skis available. Use of loaners on first come, first serve basis! $15 if using private skis, $25 if using club loaner skis. Must be ski club member to race (add $15 to join). "Ski Gold Mountain" ski area located 6 miles above Graeagle. Festivities 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Registration & practice starts at 9:30-11:30, History talks 11-12 & all afternoon; Race chatter starts around high noon at the sound of the canon!

2002 Longboarding Rules...
* Fees and donations... payable in gold nuggets or other legal tender. Longboarding costs include use of handmade longboards and wood pole, authentic handmade dope, basic technique instruction, women's and men's awards, unique entertainment, and general hurly burly. All longboard proceeds go toward keeping longboarding and the non-profit Plumas Ski Club community ski activities alive
* ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST UNDERSTAND POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARDS OF LONGBOARD USE AND SIGN PLUMAS SKI CLUB/ "SKI GOLD MOUNTAIN" LIABILITY RELEASE.
* Longboards 10 foot minimum length.
* Race Format; single elimination 2-3 person races or as determined by officials
* Leather Boots & some attempt at HISTORIC ATTIRE (circa 1870's) REQUIRED OF ALL RACERS.
* In the spirit of the Lost Sierra ski pioneers, "authentic style" paraffin based handmade "DOPE" (wax) only please... NO modern waxes or fluorocarbon compounds allowed. (Dope available with registration from the "dopemaster")
* NO CHEATIN' OR SPITTIN' !!! THAT MEANS YOU!
* Use of Plumas Ski Club "public" longboards available with entry fee on a first come, first serve basis- limited quantity of club skis available. Do not use private longboards/poles without permission.
* Must be a paid Plumas Ski Club Member and 18 years old minimum
* All times and rules subject to random change & QUESTIONABLE judgements by designated Plumas Ski Club officials and the JUDGES from the ancient and honorable E CLAMPUS VITUS, Las Plumas Del Oro, Chapter #8.

$15 race fee for Card Carrying Ski Club Members using private longboard skis
or
$25 fee for Club Members using "club" longboards.
NOTE:
Plumas Ski Club Membership fee:
Add $15 annual membership fee to above costs if not a paid member... membership required to race.
SPECTATOR FEES:
FREE...BUT ALL DONATIONS ACCEPTED!
